Bio

The beginning
Elizabeth Susanna Friedman was born October 22, 1984 in Los Angeles, CA. She has a twin sister Johanna and an older brother Michael. Her father Robert and her mother Anita raised Liz and siblings in the Beverly Hills area, with the exception of a year detour to London, England (when Liz was 4). When Liz was in junior high her parents moved and she wound up attending Westlake Village High.Always ambitious, she accelerated through high school, graduating just after her 16th birthday. After attending college for a semester she decided it wasn’t for her, so she focused on much bigger opportunities. At 17 she began working in the real estate business, and three years later opened her own mortgage company with her father, which they still own and operate.
Acting
Liz began acting at the young age of 13, yet decided to take a break for several years so she could finish her education and open her own business in order to become financially stable. In the late spring of 2009 Liz once again was bit by the acting bug and reentered the industry. Just a few months later, after signing with an agent, she booked the starring gig alongside Kat Von D in TLC’s hit show, LA Ink. Liz is currently working on other projects and deals, including some shows she’s written and created.
Liz away from the camera
Liz is very passionate about her family, friends and faith in God. She enjoys traveling, and spent one summer going to many countries (Greece, France, Jamaica, Mexico). Because she enjoyed seeing so many other cultures, people, and types of foods in various countries she tries holding on to those memories by sporadically cooking authentic cuisine from various countries. Her first business was a cookie and lemonade stand in which Liz and her twin sister Johanna were co-partners at the age of 9.
Their cookies were such a success each summer they continued for the next few years.
On her off time Liz likes to spend time with her parents and two dogs (Chloe, a golden retriever, and Madeline, a sometimes stubborn, but sweet-faced basset hound). Liz also enjoys hiking canyons, going to the beach, finger painting, farmers’ markets on weekends, going to movies, cooking, and just being surrounded by people who make her feel complete.
Liz is very outspoken, an East Coaster at heart, and refers to herself as “a breed all her own,” although she still feels like she is searching for “home.” According to her “LA is a great place to be when you’re’ in the industry… but I would trade it for the suburbs in a heartbeat.” A long time ago Liz heard a quote she still sticks with to this day: “Every time I think I learn the meaning of life, they keep changing it.”
